Yesterday makes my third jam packed day in a row. On Thursday, I joined Danny Kim and watched an A’s game. It was my first time on the Bart. Oakland is so ghetto :X. The area near the stadium looks like a scene straight out of Bioshock. On Friday, I spent the day with Sarah on CORYMATTHEWJIYOUNG Day. Hiked up in Saratoga, ate all you can eat pancakes at Denny’s, went to Sarah’s house, ate samgyupsah at church, and watched Rio! Couldn’t help but to get emotional as I was finally leaving everyone.

Today I drove to my new home for the next four years, Davis, CA. The car ride was unusually quiet as my parents and I were preparing for the eventual goodbye. Once we reached the edge of Davis, I realized why I love this city, bikes everywhere. Looking out the window as we passed downtown Davis gave me a odd view of a city in which most of its citizens were students. I grew excited to get on my fixed gear and cruise around the city. Unloading and unpacking was a mix of stress, fun, and loneliness. Although the school’s so amazing, I can’t help but to miss Sarah and my friends back in San Jose. After I settled into my room, my roommate Cory came with his parents. He brought so many boxes. Turns out his parents went dorm shopping without him so I joined him as he opened boxes of the most random items. In one box was ramen, in another pots and pans, and in another a toaster. After struggling to organize our room, Cory and I dropped by the dining common and biked through downtown Davis. Overall the roads are great for biking and the community is great. As Cory and I were unwinding from our day and walking to our dorm room, we both realized something unreal, we were college students. I always looked up to college as I grew up but now that I’m here, it’s just… magical? (Key Club <3)
